Among them, the major leading change is the revolution of data. How to embrace this, The revolution brought by the series of data, especially the field of digital health, has become my focus.
The 2020 new coronavirus epidemic has raged across the world and has had a massive impact on countless people's lives. The countermeasures of countries around the world are also different. Taking domestic responses as an example, we can see that data science is increasingly being implemented in the medical field. In the stage of disease prevention and control, various epidemic prevention and control platforms and model predictions are based on the data uploaded by the health systems in various regions. In the clinical application stage, it can be seen that the CT image automatic analysis system uses patient data to help the initial screening diagnosis and evaluation, as well as big data analysis for viral genes, etc. There is no doubt that doctors' diagnoses are increasingly based on evidence, which means that they rely on a lot of research and clinical data, not just rely on their academic qualifications and professional advice.
However, as mentioned in the IEEE Spectrum 《How IBM Watson Overpromised and Underdelivered on AI Health Care》 article, the difficulties faced by digital health are how to combine with the actual production of new technologies thus maximizing their productivity, at the same time, the shortage of medical resources and serious imbalances in developing countries have always been big problems. Therefore, I hope that the existing medical system can be better integrated into today's technology to solve the current shortage of medical resources. Excellent medical services may cover everyone.
I was born into a family of doctors who loves new technology fields, such as data science. Besides, I have a similar background to Zhang Tianze, CEO of the domestic big-data medical company, "Zero Krypton Technology." So that I desire to combine with my experience and knowledge and have deeper research into the data-health field with more innovations, making it easier for high-end medical services to reach the public, I believe this project will undoubtedly make it easier for me to reach the most cutting-edge companies and people in the field of digital healthcare.
In the end, I was delighted to see some scholars' profiles with similar backgrounds and like-minded foreign friends in Schwarzman Scholars, as well as the famous instructors in public health and digital health. I hope there are more in-depth exchanges on related topics in such field, and I will actively learn from here about digital health so that to integrate the relevant resources of the school and the industry, making smart healthcare no longer empty and impractical.
